You want something different.

Life is an amazing gift. Every day is a promise....yet difficulties, confusion, and transition, prove difficult to navigate. Even in our best days, we often fall into habits that don't support our goals and passions. We end  up making choices or having feelings we have a hard time with. Experiencing losses, emotional hardships, relationships, and changes in our energy and performance leave us feeling alone and defeated. You don't have to go through this alone, you have support and guidance available to you!

The decision to enter counseling is one of the most important decisions you can make, and the most precious gift you can give yourself.

Gwen Blake MA, Ed.S., LPC, MFT, SAC

My work as a therapist is to join you in figuring out what is holding you back in life and growing your ability to move through your struggles. Whether you are living with addiction, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or simply not feeling things are quite where they need to be in life; I am here to help you find your hope as you heal from the things that have been so hard.

As a therapist, I am committed to my work with individuals, couples and families of all cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations.  Honoring individual differences, I offer you a counseling experience in an atmosphere where you will feel encouraged and welcomed. I treat individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents and groups.

One of my favorite quotes is by Dr. Viktor Frankl, who sums up my philosophy as a a counselor.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

When you join a therapeutic relationship….that space…becomes your new self. It’s a beautiful emergence.
